Default fading dwarf gourami

hi guys,

tank: 33 gallon
stock:
1 molly
8 red eye tetras
2 red honey dwarf gouramis
2 zebra danios

the stock has been there with no changes since the last 3 months, luckily no death nor any additions

stats: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0 and nitrate 12

Over the past few days i have witnessed that one of my gouramis is loosing its color and becoming all too whitish grey, sort of looks like that its going transparent. and it is only getting worse.
it is acting all normal, eating well, no change in the level of activiness.

what could be going wrong...? am i losing for some reason?

Is it a normal wild type for colouration or one of the fancy aquarium strains. Unfortunately if it is the latter then it is quite normal for the colour to fade over a few months after purchase.
